My New Title- “Lovey”
By Kelly Monroe
It’s been a very exciting year for me! I gained a new title, “Lovey,” aka, Grandmother. I can’t begin to explain the sacredness and beauty and awe of watching my daughter give birth to my grandson!

I remember seeing that first ultrasound picture. These 3D and 4D pictures are amazing these days! You can see the features of the baby so well. I have been enjoying this sweet child for the past 5 months now and it’s got me thinking about what Jesus had to say about babies. In Matthew 18:10 he says, “See that you do not look down on one of these little ones, because I tell you that in Heaven their angels always see the face of the Father who is in heaven.” And Matthew 19:14 he said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these.”
As Believers, we are responsible for looking out for the vulnerable. And that includes children born and yet born. Psalm 12:3 says, “Children are a heritage from the Lord.” And every child conceived has a unique plan created by God. When a woman finds out she is pregnant, it is not just a clump of cells as many in society want to tell us. It is a life designed and formed by God- a life seen and known by God.
And the bible even has something to say to us grandparents- “children’s children are a crown to the aged.”

Well, I don’t consider myself that “aged,” but I sure accept that precious crown!
