Jesus in the Now

by Margo Henderson

I was taught to always look for Jesus in the here and now. The Bible says He speaks in all the
earth, not only in His creation but in little things if you are looking for Him.

When my husband and I are in the truck driving for several hours on a road trip, I like to frequently check the GPS map to see what is around the little towns we pass and the names of small places not usually seen.

On one particular trip, I enlarged the map to see what was along the road. A local tire business caught my eye…

“The Jesus Tire Center”

Now, I know that the name of this place was probably established by a Hispanic person who is
probably very proud to have his personal name, “Jesus,” on his business sign.

However, every time I see the name Jesus, I think of the holiest person with that name.

I chuckled that day to think if my Jesus had a tire center what would he do there. He would definitely put “air” in your tires to keep you going, check for any punctures, and make sure you were safe on the road.

I love to think about Jesus in all kinds of ways that build me up, protect me, and keep me moving for the Kingdom.

The next time you see the name “Jesus” on a business, think about Him and how He ministers in
all kinds of ways. He is always there to help out and supply your need.

And He can even use the name of a Tire Center business to remind you!
